Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation (originally The Return of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre) is a 1995 American slasher film written and directed by Kim Henkel, and starring Renée Zellweger, Matthew McConaughey, and Robert Jacks as Leatherface. The plot follows four teenagers who encounter Leatherface and his murderous family in backwoods Texas on the night of their prom.
Paul "Chop Top" Sawyer was one of Leatherface's brothers. He appears in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 as the secondary antagonist, portrayed by Bill Moseley. It is explained by Tobe Hooper that Chop Top was in Vietnam at the time of the first film. It is in Vietnam where Chop Top receives his head wound by a "lucky gook with a machete". Chop Top has a pale skin tone, much like that of an albino.
Many have expressed negative feelings towards the goofy comedic tone, but I personally didn't feel too much of that in the film. Even years ago I remember the film being much sillier and even slapsticky than it was just last night. To me, the film is certainly tongue-in-cheek and doesn't take itself seriously, mostly with Dennis Hopper's bombastic climax, but it's still layered in horror, darkness, and disturbing imagery.

By the way, nice collection of video games, as I grew up we only had 3 games, Mario (with the ducks and the olympic theme combo), Zelda, and Operation Wolf (I think). May 13, 2010 at 10:35 pm.
Texas Chainsaw Massacre co-writer Kim Henkel says he was definitely, uh, "inspired" by Ed Gein, but he also had another murderer in mind: I definitely studied Gein. but I also noticed a murder case in Houston at the time, a serial murderer you probably remember named Elmer Wayne Henley. So, basically, the cannibal crew in Texas Chainsaw Massacre is actually an amalgamation of lots of creepy IRL men, which definitely makes the entire movie much more terrifying. On that note, have fun trying to sleep tonight. Bye! Wait, what about the chainsaws? Oh, that part is actually inspired by a very real, very relatable real-life horror: holiday shopping. Director Tobe Hooper explained to Texas Monthly: There were these big Christmas crowds, I was frustrated, and I found myself near a display rack of chain saws.
