Red – trzecia płyta długogrająca duetu The Communards – Jimmy Somerville i Richard Coles wydana w 1987 r. Wydana została w Wielkiej Brytanii przez London.
Red is the second album from British pop duo The Communards. The Stephen Hague-produced album was released in 1987 on London Records in the UK and MCA in the US. It reached number 4 in the UK Albums Chart and number 93 on the US Billboard 200 and was certified platinum in the UK. Red features the hits "Never Can Say Goodbye", "Tomorrow", "There's More to Love Than Boy Meets Girl" and "For a Friend".
Red tops their respectable debut in nearly every aspect. Increasingly melodic, increasingly polished, and increasingly tight, the front-to-back strong album is a defining Euro-dance record of the latter half of the '80s. The re-working this record is based around is Gloria Gaynor's version of "Never Can Say Goodbye," which stands apart from any other recorded rendition thanks to Somerville's distinct vocals.
Producer – Stephen Hague (tracks: A1, A2, A4 to B1, B3), The Communards (tracks: A3, B2, B4, B5). Producer – Alvin Clark. Vocals, Backing Vocals, Programmed By – Jimmy Somerville. Written-By – Jimmy Somerville (tracks: A1 to A5, B3, B5), Richard Coles (tracks: A1 to A5, B3, B5). Notes. Issued with a custom printed inner sleeve containing lyrics and an image.

Singles from Communards. Communards is the debut album by The Communards, released in 1986 (see 1986 in music) on London Records. The album was produced by Mike Thorne, who had previously produced Jimmy Somerville's earlier band, Bronski Beat. Although the singles released ahead of the album were only moderately successful, the first single to be lifted from it after release, "Don't Leave Me This Way", was number one in the UK for four weeks and was the top-selling single in the UK that year.
