Humanistic Demos by Abandoned Pools, released 17 May 2011 1. The Remedy - Demo 2. Mercy Kiss - Demo 3. Start Over - Demo 4. Monster - Demo 5. Blood - Demo 6. Suburban Muse - Demo 7. Sunny Day - Demo 8. LVBD - Demo 9. Ruin Your Life - Demo 10. Never - Demo 11. Seed - Demo 1. I figured this is a good time to release the demo versions of the Humanistic album too. These are the recordings that I did at home in South Pasadena, California before traveling to Boston to make the album at Q Division in April 2001. I won't claim that they are the best sounding recordings, but they give some insight into how the album began to take shape. All of the recordings were made between the Fall of 1999 and the Spring of 2001, with the exception of Never, which was written in the Spring of 1998. Blood was the last song written, and The Remedy was next to last.

Humanistic is the debut album by Abandoned Pools. It was released in September 2001 through Extasy International. Though two songs were co-written by Pete Pagonis, the album is considered a solo work of Tommy Walter's in which he used new material, as well as several songs he'd worked on beforehand in both Tely and Metromax, to compose, record, and release.
The Warner-distributed debut by Tommy Walter's alter ego, Abandoned Pools (he wrote, sang, and played almost everything here), is a curious culmination of ghostlike voices from the rock & roll ether. Walter sounds a lot like a harder-rock version of Tommy Gnosis, the character from Hedwig and the Angry Inch: vulnerable, lost, and wanting desperately to put it all into terms that are rock & roll enough to make him stand out from the crowd.
Humanistic (CD, Album). Humanistic (DVD, Promo, NTSC).
The album 'Humanistic' became like a sound track for 2 years of my life. And I still think its one of these most perfect CDs from start to finish I ever heard. Its definietly a downgrade from their last album Humanistic(Which i LOVED). The problem i have with it is Tommy's voice and the arrangements. He has got a cool sounding voice, but throughout most of this album it sounds like someone is stepping on his as he tends to sing these very high notes that makes most songs unlistenable.
