Classy Gatherings Imagination Maverick Reunion Small Gathering. Chick Corea, Stanley Clarke, Return to Forever, Lenny White. This double-disc set documents Return to Forever's unplugged tour of 2009. Its 19 tracks consist mainly of rearranged RTF tunes and jazz standards for piano trio, though there are wonderful surprises on disc two. Disc one is taken directly from concert appearances across the globe. The standards work well - considering how busy Chick Corea, Stanley Clarke, and Lenny White can be together as well as solo. On Green Dolphin Street," "Waltz for Debby," and "Hackensack" all swing, though they do feature moments of RTF's requisite knotty counterpoint.

The Clarke/Copeland Band helmed by Stanley and Stewart Copeland toured Europe (2012), in addition an extensive trio tour with Chick Corea and legendary drummer Jack DeJohnette. An invitation to score an episode for the popular CBS program Pee Wee’s Playhouse in the mid-1980s, resulted in an Emmy-nomination, and pointed Stanley’s boundless creative energy in an entirely new direction, producing scores for the silver screen and television. Stanley also won a Grammy Award in 2011 for Best Contemporary Jazz Album, The Stanley Clarke Band, with Ruslan Sirota and Ronald Bruner, J. featuring pianist Hiromi, and was also nominated for the No Mystery cut as Best Pop Instrumental Performance. The same year, Stanley won a Latin Grammy for Best Instrumental Album with Forever, along with group members Chick Corea and Lenny White.

Return to Forever was the name of a jazz fusion band founded and led by keyboardist Chick Corea. The band cycled through many members, but the only consistent band mate of Corea's was bassist Stanley Clarke. Along with Weather Report and Mahavishnu Orchestra, these bands are often seen as the core of jazz fusion music in the 1970s. Several musicians, including Clarke, Flora Purim, Airto Moreira and Al Di Meola first became well-known through their performances on Return to Forever's albums.
The Stanley Clarke Band is an album by jazz bassist Stanley Clarke. Hiromi is billed as a featured artist playing piano on "No Mystery", "Larry Has Traveled 11 Miles and Waited a Lifetime for the Return of Vishnu’s Report" and her composition "Labyrinth". Several additional musicians appear on most tracks.
