Unofficial lyric video to the song Song of Myself performed by Nightwish live at Wacken Open Air 2013.
Just like the Not Moving did. The album starts from the early debuts to rediscover the songs and the atmospheres of those years, as well as more popular tracks (but that cannot be found as all the copies in catalogue are sold out) it contains different tracks not included in their previous albums and a DVD full of treasures!! Almost 6 months of job, selection, assemblages. Not Moving, Lance Henson & Friends.
Song of Myself" is a poem by Walt Whitman (1819-1892) that is included in his work Leaves of Grass.
What you've managed is to cheapen everything I've done. And don’t pretend you even know what I have been through son. And these days grievances come creeping through my open door. I guess that’s what friends are for. Can you not leave me alone? Can you not leave me alone? Can you not leave me alone? All I ever really wanted was to stay at home Resting in a dirty bed on brittle bones . The song was released alongside, Small Hands on March 5, 2012 under the record label, Oak Ten Records. Release Date March 5, 2012. Small Hands Keaton Henson.

In the poem Song of Myself Walt Whitman identifies himself as more than a poet, but as a mystic as well. The speaker stresses the spiritual significance of a cathartic self, unburdened by the programming of society. Whitman does not use regular meter, bu. t some points he seems to slip into a traditional use of stresses and beats. The speaker identifies what a mystic’s function is while using a full spectrum of imagery patterns as well as stresses and beats to illustrate depth of experience to the reader.
In Section 6 of "Song of Myself" Whitman uses the imagery of grass to explore the theme of death and rebirth. 1 Educator Answer 1 Educator Answer.
Song of Myself" might be the most egotistical poem ever written: it's all about me, myself, and I. In the first line, American poet Walt Whitman kindly informs us that he is going to celebrate himself, and throughout 52 glorious sections, he does just that. It takes guts to write a long epic poem about yourself, and Whitman was nothing if not gutsy. First published in 1855, without a title, as part of his collection Leaves of Grass, the work we now call "Song of Myself" just might be the most important and influential American poem out there. As you read "Song of Myself, you might wonder why Whitman is so eager to be friends with, literally, every single person he has ever met. It might help to remember that the poem was written only a few years before the outbreak of the Civil War, and Whitman viewed friendship as the last hope to save a fractured union.
1. From A Dusty Bookshelf. 2. All That Great Heart Lying Still. The nightingale is still locked in the cage The deep breath I took still poisons my lungs An old oak sheltering me from the blue Sun bathing on its dead frozen leaves. A catnap in the ghost town of my heart She dreams of storytime and the river ghosts Of mermaids, of Whitman’s and the Ride Raving harlequins, gigantic toys. A song of me a song in need Of a courageous symphony A verse of me a verse in need Of a pure-heart singing me to peace.
You can find the song if you only know parts of the song's lyrics. Hi i'm looking for a song, that's sung by a girls, and it goes "I know you have heard it all before, that you are the love of my life. I knew when you can through the door, that you are the love of my life. Nothings hard, everything is easy with you around" I can't find this song, Can anyone help me?!!
