Lament is the band's first concept album, a song cycle about one man's disillusionment with the harshness and cruelty of life and his eventual realization that things will not change without his own spiritual redemption. When I listened to it at the time I was shocked at how indifferent it was - I imagined this one would be a grower. Eventually I put it away but every 6-8 months I have pulled it out from the stack to much the same feeling.
