Really interesting album from Ms Tzuke that manages to cross a number of genres from soul to rock to disco withough sounding over elaborate or cluttered. She really has a fantastic voice and it always surprises me that her career didnt go further given her obvious talent. The stand out track for me is "Stay With Me Till Dawn" which has a wonderful synth, keyboard break in the middle which was pretty much lifted in its entirety when sampled by Mylo on "In My Arms".

Sports Car is the second album by the British singer-songwriter Judie Tzuke, released in 1980. The album peaked at n. in the UK, Tzuke's only Top Ten record and highest ever chart position. It was certified Silver in 1981 by the British Phonographic Industry for sales in excess of 60,000 copies. Initially released on vinyl album and cassette by The Rocket Record Company, Sports Car was reissued on CD in 2000 by Tzuke's own record company, Big Moon Records.
