They released their eponyomus album and one non-album single, 'Elephant Song', in 1970 although neither was successful and Wirtz soon emigrated to Los Angeles. Philwit & Pegasus was a studio band formed by Mark Wirtz (under the alias of Philwit) featuring singer Maria Feltham ('Pegasus') and a number of leading session musicians, including Chris Spedding.

The quite detailed and lengthy historical liner notes on the CD reissue of this rarity give the impression that principal creator Mark Wirtz thought he was devising an arty song cycle of sorts, or a movie on record.
