Styx - Edge of the century (1990).
This album made itself distinctive from other Styx albums especially in the use of brass section. I only recommend this album for completionist only - those who love the band and wanting to have all albums of Styx.

Edge of the Century is the twelfth studio album by Styx, released in 1990. It was the first Styx album featuring A&M solo artist Glen Burtnik, the only album to feature the Dennis DeYoung/James Young/Glen Burtnik/Chuck Panozzo/John Panozzo lineup, and the last album to feature John Panozzo on drums (he would die six years later of gastrointestinal hemorrhaging). The album spawned three singles. Show Me the Way" was written by DeYoung and peaked at due to the Gulf War Troops adopting the song as an anthem

Love Is the Ritual" is the first single released from Edge of the Century by Styx. The song was written and sung by Glen Burtnik, who had been recruited by the band as a new guitarist. Shaw was at that time busy as a member of the group Damn Yankees. Burtnik had recorded the track before he was offered a position with Styx in anticipation of using it for his third solo album. The track was re-recorded during recording sessions as Styx.

Edge of the Century is Styx updated for the 90s. From the first track, Love Is the Ritual, the album announces that Styx is back with a modern, more rhythmic feel. Glen Burtnik, Tommy Shaw's replacement on vocals and guitar, wrote and sings lead on this song, and the vocals and production is definitely Styx. So, too, is Show Me the Way, a top 10 single written by Dennis DeYoung. Other standout tracks include All in a Day's Work, an acoustic duet featured DeYoung and Burtnik, and the title track, Edge of the Century
