Each of the four singles - "Voodoo People," "Poison," "No Good (Start the Dance)," and "One Love" - are excellent, though album tracks like "Speedway" and "Their Law" (with help from Pop Will Eat Itself) don't slip up either. If Experience seemed like an excellent fluke, Music for the Jilted Generation is the album that announced the Prodigy were on the charts to stay.
Music for the Jilted Generation is the second studio album by English electronic music group The Prodigy. It was first released on 4 July 1994 by XL Recordings in the United Kingdom and by Mute Records in the United States. Just as on the group’s debut album Experience (1992), Maxim Reality was the only member of the band's lineup-besides Liam Howlett-to contribute to the album.
Music For The Jilted Generation's intro. Words are taken from the 'The Lawnmower Man', but Liam didn't sample it straight from the movie! Sample: roaring vocal sitar loop Taken from: ? Sample: waterphone sounds Taken from: ? No Good (Start The Dance). Sample:"You're no good for me, I don't need nobody. Don't need no-one that's no good for me" is sampled from Taken from: "No good for me" by Kelly Charles. If you listen carefully, on the album version, you can hear a hip-hop sample in the background saying "Jump around, hit the ground", which may come from the House Of Pain "Jump Around" (Album: House Of Pain, Year: 1992). Other beats come from the same source as the LHB "Bad Magic".
